Uzbekistan is a Central Asian country that has been promoting its tourism industry over the last few decades and Tashkent which is the capital city of the country is its main draw. Chorsu Bazaar is a top tourist destination in the area in the Old Town area of Tashkent and is known for its spices, fresh bread, fruits, vegetables and even a great place to find souvenirs. There are many museums in Tashkent worth visiting including Amir Timur Museum, Museum of Applied Arts, History Museum of the People of Uzbekistan, State Museum of History of Uzbekistan and Moyie Mubarek Library Museum to name a few. The Kukeldash Madrasah is a 16th-century madrassa, the famous Navoi theatre, and Tashkent TV Tower are some of the best tourist attractions in the city.

There are plenty of places to visit in Tashkent. The Earthquake Memorial is worth a visit and the Mustaqillik Maydoni in the central square is popular with the tourists and the Tashkent Zoo is an ideal tourist attraction especially for families visiting Tashkent. Marble Minor Mosque, Assumption Cathedral, the Art Gallery of Uzbekistan, the Railway Museum, and the beautiful Romanov Palace are part of various Tashkent tour packages. Climate and Best Time to Visit


Tashkent was an important stop on the Silk Road which was an ancient trade route and lies between Shymkent and Samarkand. Tashkent has the Mediterranean and continental climate with very hot and dry summers and wet and cold winters. The average high temperature in the winter can be around 35 degrees Celsius and in the winters, below freezing temperatures are quite common. There are generally two peak seasons for tourists to visit this region, especially the city of Tashkent. April and May or September to November are two periods when the weather is mild which makes it ideal for tourists to visit during this time.


Tashkent is one of the most important cities in Central Asia and all the modern development in this region happens first in cities like Tashkent. Tashkent government has developed a tourist infrastructure to welcome tourists from all over the world especially from neighboring countries in Asia.
